Fmr. NM lawmaker pleads guilty to more charges
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Disgraced former New Mexico State Senator Phil Griego pleaded guilty to a second round of charges and will spend more time in prison.
Griego pleaded guilty to falsifying campaign finance reports and perjury on Monday.
Griego was sentenced to 12 months more in prison.
Griego is already serving 18-months on fraud, bribery and other charges from a conviction in February.
He was found guilty of misusing his position as a state senator to profit from a state property sale.
